Geisinger Health Plan evolved into one of the nation's largest rural HMOs. As they grew, the content on their website expanded organically, overwhelming the site architecture and compromising consistent messaging and management of content.

TDO mapped and classified thousands of pages of existing site content, asset libraries, applications and tools. We conducted a needs assessment for five distinct user audiences, integrating redundant content and creating a new information architecture and CMS.

The Geisinger website now provides information and tools defined by user-class. Overall content was dramatically reduced. This resulted in a logical, simplified navigation and manageable content maintenance, better message consistency and greatly reduced costs.
